iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak Release Date Is Just Days Away

Everyone can’t wait to see the release of the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak for Apple devices, A couple of days ago we reported for you that Pod2G said that his untethered jailbreak will support both iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS which makes it a great deal so you may that Pod2G’s jailbreak is compatible with almost all the devices except Apple TV 3.. So today he talks again on his Twitter account saying that jailbreak release is mere days away.
A couple of minutes ago Pod2G has just announced on his official Twitter account that the jailbreak release date is just a matter of days and that he is very near to the public release.. Be ready everyone we may see the jailbreak anytime from now.. Aren’t you excited yet ! Here’s Pod2G’s tweet:

Still need to test (but that should work):

And of course we don’t know yet what is the name that will be given to the jailbreak.. But don’t worry Sooner or later we are going to know everything

iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak For iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch Coming In A Couple Of Weeks

Just last week Apple released iOS 5.1.1 firmware for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. In the scheme of things, this is a very minor update which brings no new substantial changes or features. At this point in time there is no iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak available, however the development teams are working on it. Pod2g is a French security researcher who perhaps is the only jailbreak developer that keeps public in the loop, the most. Pod2g has revealed earlier today that iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch will be coming in a couple of weeks.
A couple of weeks back Pod2g conducted a poll in which he asked public opinion related to the release of 5.1.x untethered jailbreak. The question was whether to release the jailbreak now or save the vulnerabilities for iOS 6. 64% of voters that took part in the poll opted for releasing iOS 5.1.x untethered jailbreak right now. While it really would have helped a lot if the vulnerabilities were not exposed till iOS 6, it is becoming increasingly evident that users want iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak, and they want it right now.
The iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak has been demoed and it does work perfectly. However a lot of work is to be done before the jailbreak can be packaged in a user friendly tool. In this regard, Pod2g updated his blog today and revealed that iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will be released in a couple of weeks as soon as it is packaged for the end user.
It should be noted that iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will be compatible with New iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and Apple TV 2G. Currently the jailbreak is said to not be compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G and the new third generation Apple TV, however Pod2g says that this could change soon.

In these few days, Apple users have been waiting to hear any word from Pod2G about iOS 5.1 untethered Jailbreak statue. Today he comes again with some happy news where he has just announced on his Twitter account that he is now running iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak on his iPhone 4 which means we should be able to see the untethered jailbreak very soon unless Pod2G will delay it’s release after Apple releases iOS 6.
As you can see from Pod2G’s statue on his Twitter timeline which says that he finally running iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak on his iPhone 4 of course he didn’t mention anything about the A5 devices if there is going to be an untethered jailbreak for them or not, also right now we don’t have any ETA for the public release for this jailbreak and as I said above maybe Pod2G will have to wait until Apple push out iOS 6 then he release it..

iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak ETA From Pod2G
0The whole jailbreak community is waiting for iOS 5.1′s untethered jailbreak and this is not going to be an ordinary one because we have a new iOS device which has never been jailbroken before not publicly at least. Yes folks I’m talking about the new iPad aka iPad 3, even though the new iPad 3 has been jailbroken (un)tethered by several iOS hacker but the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 or iPad 3 is not publicly available as yet.
